Hospice Office Volunteer

Many individuals are inspired to volunteer in hospice care because they feel a deep desire to support others during difficult times, whether through personal experiences with a loved one, an interest in healthcare, or a simple understanding of how meaningful compassionate companionship can be for those facing serious illness and isolation. At Rize Hospice, volunteers play an important role in the care team by providing companionship to patients, emotional support to families, and respite for caregivers, with visits taking place in patients’ homes, skilled nursing facilities, or residential care communities. All volunteers complete online training and orientation, undergo tuberculosis screening, provide a valid driver’s license, and pass a background check before beginning service.
