    Position: Music Teacher Assistant

    Position: Music Teacher Assistant

    Location: Freer Forte Music School, Anaheim Red Shield, 1515 W. North St, Anaheim.

    Schedule: Wednesdays, 1-4 hours per week

    Weekly Attendance: Preferred

    Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Volunteer Music Teacher Assistant to support our musicinstructors during group classes. Assistant will help students learn while the instructor is teaching on aone-on-one basis in a variety of music and performing arts classes. This volunteer role provides a greatopportunity to gain teaching experience while helping students in areas such as piano, drums, guitar,ukulele, singing, musical theater, and dance.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist with Instruction: Support the music instructor in leading group classes and providing one-on-one assistance to students in various classes.
    • Student Support: Help students with individual practice during classes, ensuring they remainengaged and on task.
    • Classroom Management: Assist with maintaining a positive and productive learning environmentduring classes.
    • Task Assistance: Help the instructor with administrative or preparation tasks, such as setting upinstruments, handing out materials, and managing class supplies.
    • Encourage Participation: Offer encouragement and feedback to students to help them improveand stay motivated in their learning.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Music Knowledge: A basic understanding of music theory and proficiency in one or more of thefollowing areas: piano, drums, guitar, ukulele, singing, musical theater, or dance.
    • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students andinstructors.
    • Patience and Enthusiasm: A positive attitude and the ability to work well with students of varyingages and skill levels.
    • Commitment: 1-4-hour commitment on Wednesdays 1-4 hours weekly is preferred.
    • Experience: Previous experience in music education or performance is helpful.
