Hepatitis Education Project (HEP) needs regular volunteers to assist us in running our syringe services program (SSP). At our SSP, volunteers provide our clients with important harm reduction resources such as overdose reversal kits (naloxone) and sterile supplies for safer drug use. This is an incredible opportunity for anyone who enjoys talking to people and supporting our neighbors. Come help us in our mission to prevent overdose deaths and the spread of hepatitis in our community!
Our SSP is open Monday-Thursday from 12:30PM-5:30PM.
Right now, we have no volunteers for the following shifts:
If you really want to volunteer but none of these shifts work, please reach out anyway because volunteer schedules change frequently. We will try to work with your schedule, including partial shifts if necessary. New volunteers who sign up for weekly and/or full shifts are prioritized.
Please do not show up for your first volunteer shift until you have been in touch with our volunteer coordinator about the onboarding process. We will send you an email shortly after sign-up.
