    Description

About APYCF: APYCF (Asia-Pacific Youth Culture Foundation) is a nonprofit dedicated to youth cultural and educational exchange across the Asia-Pacific. We deliver education support, community meals, stray-animal rescue, and emergency relief through local partners in Mainland China, South Korea, and Singapore. Our small, lean team works without field offices, entirely through local partners; since January 2025 our programs have reached 380 children and youth and rescued/re-homed 214 stray animals. Work Arrangement: Fully Remote. Rolling applications, minimum 2 months, minimum 20 hrs/week (to meet OPT/CPT hour requirements), unpaid internship. Responsibilities: Support student recruitment and online info sessions for Summer Work Travel and other exchange programs. Conduct initial English-proficiency screening of applicants, record results, and organize student files. Help prepare pre-departure orientation materials, including cultural adaptation, daily life, and safety guidance. Track application progress, remind students of submission deadlines, and check materials for completeness. Collect participant feedback and help draft program summaries and improvement suggestions. Requirements: Current student or recent graduate; English, International Relations, Education or related majors preferred. Fluent spoken English; able to hold basic conversations and screening interviews independently. Friendly, patient, and detail-oriented; communicates clearly with students and parents. Passionate about cross-cultural exchange; handles student information carefully and confidentially. Preferred: Experience joining or organizing international exchanges, study abroad, or Summer Work Travel. Basic understanding of U.S. J-1 cultural exchange programs. Work Authorization Support: International students are welcome. APYCF provides employer documentation to support CPT and OPT (including unpaid OPT); STEM OPT extension support may be available for eligible roles and candidates on a case-by-case basis. How to Apply: Please send your English resume to careers@apycfoundation.org with the position title in the subject line.
