    Description

Volunteers are an essential part of our hospice team. They are our extra set of helping hands and eyes and hearts. Our volunteers add quality to a patient's time at the end of life's journey. No special skills needed. Typical companionship activities include visiting, reading, listening to music and providing support to the patient's family. Training is provided, quarterly on a Saturday in our Flower Mound office. The next training will take place in winter/spring 2018.

Volunteers visit patients in their homes or elder-care facilities in the DFW metroplex, several of which are in the Plano/Frisco/McKinney area. This is where we need more help! After the training and one follow-up visit to our office, it won't be necessary to come to Flower Mound on a regular basis.

If you think you might have the heart for hospice work, please join us at our next orientation.
