    Description

    Join us in making this year's Intro to Guitar Workshop a fun and memorable experience for youth at the Cambie Community Centre! For our next event, we are looking for a Guitar Workshop Assistant to assist with teaching basic guitar skills and engage with attendees throughout the workshop.

    Vancouver Region Educational Services (VRES) is a registered non-profit organization committed to providing free and affordable educational services to the Vancouver Region and beyond. VRES provides online and in-person educational services for learners of all ages, including K-12, adults, and seniors.

    The Volunteer Instructor is responsible for:

    • Assisting instructors during the the guitar instruction session
    • Greeting and directing participants/attendees
    • Setting up event booths, activity stations, and décor before the workshop begins
    • Preparing and organizing materials for activities
    • Assisting with takedown of all materials at the end of the event

    Location: 12800 Cambie Rd., Richmond, BC V6V 1G4 (Cambie Community Centre)

    Date: Wednesday, June 17, 2026 3:15 PM – 5:15 PM (PST)

    Who We're Looking For:

    • Must know how to play the guitar
    • Comfortable with teaching basic concepts to beginners
    • Minimum age: 12 years or up
    • Fluent in English
    • Able to independently commute to and arrive at the event location on time
    • Comfortable working in a community setting and interacting with attendees
    • Able to fully commit to the scheduled event timings
    • Takes initiative, follows instructions, and can work independently without close supervision
