    Special Olympics PA Athlete Mentor

    Be a mentor to a Special Olympics athlete!

    We have an athlete in Erie County who would like to participate in our Athlete Leadership program - this is a program that trains athletes on leadership skills so that they can serve as Global Messengers or Athlete Representatives for their region.

    Mentors support by attending the Athlete Leadership training alongside their mentor, joining on virtual calls, offering support with speech writing/speech giving, and sometimes assisting with transportation for public speaking opportunities.

    The commitment is mostly virtual but would require some in person commitment, and the time commitment is typically a few hours per month.
