Join our hospice care team as a volunteer and make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families during one of life’s most important transitions. Hospice volunteers offer companionship, emotional support, and a calming presence to individuals facing serious illness.

Your time, kindness, and willingness to simply “be there” can bring comfort, dignity, and peace to those in need.

Volunteer Responsibilities

• Provide companionship through conversation, reading, or quiet presence
• Offer emotional support to patients and family members
• Assist with light, non-medical tasks (errands, letter writing, etc.)
• Participate in bereavement support (optional, after training)
• Help with administrative support in our Parsippany office

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient, and a good listener
• Reliable and respectful of confidentiality
• Comfortable with end-of-life environments (training provided)
• Must be 18 years old
• Willing to complete background check and training

All volunteers receive comprehensive hospice training, ongoing support, and guidance from experienced staff. No prior healthcare experience is required, just a caring heart and a willingness to serve.
