Description
Aging Ahead’s Quad Cities Senior Center Crystal City is seeking volunteers to serve as substitute Meals on Wheels drivers when a regular volunteer is unavailable. Also needed is a volunteer able to deliver monthly commodity food boxes, which weigh approximately 25-30 pounds.
Just approximately 1.5 hours of your time on a weekday morning (Monday–Friday) can make a big impact in someone’s life.
What you’ll do:
- Pick up meals or food boxes and deliver them along a designated route
- Offer a warm greeting and brief check-in with each recipient
- Help reduce isolation while supporting independence for older adults
