Volunteer Opportunity: College Prep Club – Share Your Love Inc. (Malden, MA)

About the Program:

Share Your Love Inc. runs a College Prep Club in Malden, MA to support first-generation high school students as they prepare for college. The club provides mentorship, college readiness activities, community service opportunities, and career exposure.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

• Participate in monthly club meetings (one Saturday per month, 10:00 AM–12:30 PM in Malden, MA)
• Support a second monthly activity, such as a community service project or college visit
• Help coordinate guest speakers for career panels
• Reach out to local organizations to arrange volunteer opportunities
• Assist in scheduling college visits and tracking student participation
• Meet one-on-one with students on Zoom to discuss goals and college plans

Qualifications:

• College student or recent graduate (first-generation background a plus, but not required)
• Passionate about education, mentorship, and community engagement
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Reliable and willing to commit an average of 3 hours per week

Additional Details:

• Training provided – no prior experience required
• CORI background check required
• Great opportunity to make a meaningful impact and gain mentoring and leadership experience

Location: Malden, MA

Commitment: Approximately 3 hours per week (includes one in-person meeting and remote tasks)
