    Description

    About Arts and Dreams Foundation

Arts and Dreams Foundation Corp. is a Miami-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit on a mission to rescue, stabilize, educate, and reintegrate individuals in crisis into society — equipping them to lead sustainable, purposeful lives through evidence-based clinical programming and the transformative power of the arts.

At the heart of our work are two flagship programs. The Science of Becoming is a clinical model that integrates psychology, neuroscience, and the arts as instruments of personal transformation. Healing Notes is our music therapy program, using the science of music to support emotional recovery and resilience among individuals navigating crisis. Beyond our programs, we host The Science of Becoming podcast, where we explore the neuroscience and psychology of human development with audiences worldwide.

We are a young organization with a bold mission, and we are building something meaningful from the ground up. That means the people who join us now will not just be filling a role — they will be part of the founding story of an organization that will touch and change many lives for years to come.

    The Opportunity

We are looking for a creative, motivated, and socially savvy volunteer to help us build our social media presence from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of a brand's digital identity from day one — setting the tone, building the audience, and creating the content strategy for an organization with a genuine and inspiring mission.

If you are a student or recent graduate looking to gain real-world experience in social media management, content creation, and nonprofit communications — and you want your work to actually mean something — this role was made for you.

    What You Will Do

As our Social Media and Content Creation Volunteer, you will be responsible for launching and managing the foundation's presence across all major social media platforms, creating content that tells our story, and building a community of supporters around our mission. Specific responsibilities include:

    • Setting up and optimizing the foundation's profiles on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and X from scratch
    • Developing and executing a consistent content calendar aligned with the foundation's brand, programs, and events
    • Creating original visual content including graphics, short-form videos, reels, and photography edits for each platform
    • Writing engaging captions, campaign copy, and storytelling posts that connect followers to the foundation's mission
    • Supporting the promotion of upcoming events, including the foundation's inaugural benefit concert, An Evening of Becoming
    • Monitoring platform analytics and providing basic performance reports to track growth and engagement
    • Collaborating with foundation leadership to ensure all content aligns with organizational goals and brand standards

    What We Are Looking For

You do not need years of experience to thrive in this role — we are looking for someone eager, creative, and willing to grow. A good fit for this position is someone who:

    • Has a working familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and X as content platforms
    • Can create visually appealing graphics and edit photos and short videos using Adobe Photoshop, Canva, or similar tools
    • Has a basic understanding of graphic design principles and visual storytelling
    • Can write clear, engaging, and on-brand copy for captions, posts, and campaign messaging
    • Is self-motivated and comfortable working independently toward goals rather than clocking hours
    • Has a genuine interest in arts, mental health, education, or community impact
    • Is pursuing or has recently completed a degree in communications, marketing, digital media, graphic design, public relations, or a related field (preferred, not required)

    Why Volunteer With Us

    • Full creative ownership. You will not be a background helper here. You will be building something from scratch, with real responsibility and real impact on how the world sees this organization.
    • Flexible schedule. This is a goal-oriented role, not an hour-tracking role. You decide when you work — we care about results, not clock-ins.
    • 100% remote. Work from your home, your campus, your favorite coffee shop — wherever you do your best work.
    • College credit eligible. We are happy to complete any documentation your institution requires to count this experience toward academic internship credit.
    • Portfolio-worthy work. Everything you create here is yours to showcase. Launching a brand's social media from zero to a live, active community is exactly the kind of project that stands out to future employers.
    • Be part of something founding. Volunteers and contributors who join Arts and Dreams Foundation at this stage will be permanently recognized in our records, on our founders' wall at headquarters, and in our materials — as people who helped build the programs that gave life to this mission.
    • A team that values you. You will work directly with foundation leadership, not a middle manager. Your ideas will be heard, considered, and implemented.

    Time Commitment

This is a flexible, goal-oriented volunteer engagement with no fixed weekly hour requirement. We ask that volunteers be reasonably available for periodic check-ins with foundation leadership and meet agreed content deadlines. This role is well-suited for students managing coursework, athletes, and anyone whose schedule changes week to week.

    Duration

Minimum 3 months, with the option to continue as the organization grows. We are looking for someone interested in growing with us, not just fulfilling a semester requirement.

Arts and Dreams Foundation Corp. is committed to building a diverse, inclusive team that reflects the communities we serve. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds, experiences, and identities.
