WILD Guide

Inspire conservation action as a WILD Guide for guests. Receive additional training on specific animal areas to become a liaison between guests and our conservation experts.

As we have multiple WILD Guide posts to choose from, animal areas and conservation information may vary. However, WILD Guides may generally expect to

• Communicate with guests about our animals and what conservation action they can take
• Use resources on site to provide up-to-date information on animal and conservation efforts

Requirements

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Completion of a volunteer application, information session, orientation, and WILD Guide training
• Commitment to volunteering one shift per month per post
• Approved through screening process, including a background check
• Ability to tolerate reasonable weather conditions
• Ability to walk or self-transport throughout the Zoo
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
