    • Track board action items and follow up on assigned tasks.
    • Coordinate board meeting schedules and communications.

    • Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
    • Detail-oriented and dependable.
    • Comfortable using Google Workspace (Docs, Drive, Calendar, Gmail), Microsoft Office, and virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom or Google Meet.

Previous experience serving on a nonprofit board or in an administrative, executive assistant, or secretary role is preferred but not required.

    What You'll Gain

    • Serve as a member of the Board of Directors of a growing international nonprofit.
    • Gain nonprofit governance and leadership experience.
    • Build your professional network while working with leaders in health, ancestry, genetics, and community development.
    • Receive a volunteer service certificate and LinkedIn recommendation based on your contributions.
    • Help shape an organization creating meaningful impact across Africa and the global African diaspora.

This is an unpaid volunteer Board Member position.
