Here is more about the Homework Help program, and the important work you will be doing:

    • Timeline. Shifts begin in September 2026. Volunteers will be scheduled to provide tutoring once a week when Seattle's Public Schools are in session, through June 10, 2027.
    • Types of Assistance. Tutors provide homework assistance and to help students develop learning skills. While our most frequent questions are math-related, volunteers must be comfortable tutoring youth in various subjects on a drop-in basis.
    • Age of Attendees. Because the Homework Help Program primarily serves elementary school students, we are especially seeking volunteers who enjoy helping kids.
    • Additional Details. Please note: volunteers must be at least 18 and be a high school graduate or have a GED diploma.
