Love Volleyball? Youth Sports? Help Us Bring the Game to Underserved Kids!

We are so excited to begin building a new LoveSetMatch Volleyball Program for underserved youth — and we are looking for volunteers who love volleyball, love community, and want to help kids experience the joy of learning a new sport.

This program will be led by professional volleyball player Vanessa Garcia, who will help bring high-level experience, encouragement, and mentorship to young athletes who may not otherwise have access to quality volleyball training.

We are looking for volunteers who can help with on court as well as virtually from anywhere in the world:

• Welcoming families and students
• Setting up nets, balls, and equipment
• Helping beginners learn basic volleyball skills
• Encouraging kids on the court
• Taking photos and videos
• Supporting registration and check-in
• Creating a safe, positive, uplifting environment

You do not need to be a professional volleyball player to help. You just need a kind heart, good energy, and a willingness to serve. This is a beautiful opportunity to work alongside an experienced professional athlete and coach while helping underserved kids build confidence, teamwork, fitness, and community through volleyball.

Volunteer Opportunities!

1. Volleyball Court Assistant

Help Vanessa and the coaching team run beginner drills, shag balls, encourage players, and keep the session moving with positive energy.

1. Check-In & Registration Volunteer

Welcome families, confirm registration, help with waivers, answer basic questions, and make every participant feel invited and supported.

1. Equipment Setup Crew

Help set up and break down nets, volleyballs, cones, water stations, banners, tables, and any court or gym materials.

1. Beginner Skills Helper

Support new players with simple volleyball basics like passing, setting, serving, footwork, and communication.

1. Youth Mentor

Encourage kids during class, help them stay confident after mistakes, and model teamwork, kindness, and leadership.

1. Parent & Family Welcome Team

Talk with parents, explain the LoveSetMatch mission, share program details, and help families feel connected to the community.

1. Photo & Video Volunteer

Capture action shots, group photos, short video clips, testimonials, and behind-the-scenes moments for newsletters, grants, and social media.

1. Social Media Storyteller

Help create Instagram captions, reels, volunteer highlights, player spotlights, and community stories from each volleyball session.

1. Volunteer Coordinator Assistant

Help organize volunteer sign-ups, send reminders, confirm attendance, and make sure each volunteer knows their role before class begins.

1. Outreach Ambassador

Invite schools, churches, community groups, student clubs, local businesses, and volleyball fans to support or participate in the program.

1. Sponsor & Donation Support

Help identify local sponsors, collect donated volleyballs or equipment, and support fundraising efforts to keep the program affordable.

1. Grant & Impact Support Volunteer

Help track attendance, volunteer hours, photos, testimonials, and survey responses so LoveSetMatch can report impact to funders.

1. Water & Wellness Station Volunteer

Help keep kids hydrated, organize snacks if available, monitor rest breaks, and support a safe, healthy environment.

1. College Pathway Support Volunteer

Assist with workshops about school volleyball, college recruiting basics, student-athlete habits, and academic encouragement.

1. Event Day Floater

Jump in wherever needed — check-in, equipment, family support, photos, encouragement, cleanup, or helping kids feel included.
