    Description

TMI Ambassador Applications | Make an Impact Worldwide

The Mind Initiative (TMI) is a student-led, intergenerational nonprofit advancing mental and brain health education. Our mission is to unite voices, broaden perspectives, and help transform mental health, one voice at a time.

    About the role

TMI Ambassadors are trained youth leaders who bring TMI's prevention-focused mental and brain health education into their own schools and communities. Using ready-made TMI materials, you'll lead sessions, connect with local schools and organizations, and help bring our programs to the people around you.

    Responsibilities

    • Attend a monthly training call
    • Lead at least one session in your first three months
    • Build relationships with a school, club, or community organization that can host you
    • Share feedback with the TMI team
    • Follow TMI's safeguarding and crisis-referral guidelines
    • Uphold TMI's values of inclusivity, respect, and empathy

    What you'll get

    • Training through monthly calls
    • Ready-to-use program materials, so you never start from scratch
    • Guidance from TMI's team
    • A network of other motivated young leaders
    • Recognition, including ambassador shoutouts on our Instagram
    • Real leadership experience you can speak about in future applications and interviews

    Who should apply

    • Passion for mental health and brain health education and a desire to reduce stigma
    • Clear communication and comfort leading groups
    • Reliability and time management alongside school or other commitments
    • No prior experience required
    • Applicants under 18 need a parent or guardian's consent and a supportive adult advisor (such as a teacher, counselor, or parent) to sponsor their sessions

    What happens next

Applications are reviewed individually. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a short interview, and all applicants will hear back in early winter. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance.

    Instructions:

Please answer each question in your own words, aiming for about 100 words per answer. We want your genuine perspective, not a polished template. If you're under 18, you'll need a parent or guardian's consent and a supportive adult (teacher, counselor, or parent) to sponsor your sessions. Review program details at themindinitiative.org/start-a-chapter before applying. Applications that appear heavily AI-generated may be disqualified. Questions? Email themindinitiative.org@gmail.com.
