    Development Director - Fundraising

    Overview

    Education for Global Peace (EGP) is a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to building a world rooted in cultures of peace. Our mission is to advance peace education so that children, youth, and adults gain the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to create more peaceful communities locally and globally.

    We are seeking a committed, mission-aligned individual to serve as Volunteer Development Director. In this role, you will help shape and implement EGP’s fundraising strategy and play a key part in strengthening our capacity to grow. You will collaborate closely with the Board of Directors and contribute to the long-term development of the organization.

    This is a remote, volunteer position 3-5 hours per week.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the development and execution of EGP’s fundraising plan.
    • Identify funding needs, research potential funding sources, and develop strategies for approaching funders.
    • Prepare and submit grant proposals, donor letters, reports, and other fundraising communications.
    • Cultivate, strengthen, and steward relationships with both new and existing contributors.
    • Contribute to public relations efforts related to development.
    • Engage and coordinate with the Board of Directors to ensure progress toward fundraising goals.
    • Maintain accurate fundraising records and documentation

    Qualifications

    • Strong passion for and commitment to EGP’s mission of advancing peace education globally.
    • Prior experience in fundraising, nonprofit development, or related fields.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • High level of proficiency in English.
    • Strong computer and internet skills
    • Ability to work independently as part of a fully volunteer, mission-driven team.
