Description
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Sound Bath Practitioner to support our hospice patients, families, and care teams. This unique volunteer opportunity focuses on providing calming, restorative sound experiences that promote relaxation, emotional comfort, and a sense of peace.
Sound baths can be a meaningful complement to hospice care, helping to ease stress, support mindfulness, and create a soothing environment for those navigating end-of-life journeys. Volunteers may offer sessions for patients, small groups, caregivers, or staff, depending on availability and need.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate sound bath sessions using instruments such as singing bowls, gongs, chimes, or other therapeutic tools
- Adapt sessions to meet the needs and sensitivities of hospice patients and environments
- Create a calm, respectful, and supportive atmosphere
- Collaborate with hospice staff to schedule and coordinate visits
- Maintain professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality at all times
Qualifications:
- Experience in sound bath healing, sound therapy, or a related wellness practice
- Ability to create gentle and adaptable sessions
- Comfort working in hospice or sensitive care settings (or willingness to learn)
- Strong sense of compassion, presence, and respect for diverse beliefs and backgrounds
