Role
As a Bedside Vigil Volunteer you will have the honor and privilege to be present during a patient’s last moments. Part of the NODA (No One Dies Alone) initiative Affinity is looking for individuals who wish to serve bedside vigil. This treasured role is a significant part of our Affinity team, with in-depth training and ongoing support to the volunteers as they serve our patients in their final hours. A Bedside Vigil Volunteer specifically serves individuals without families, or families who cannot be present for a variety of reasons. We work with volunteer's location to serve patients in that area.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide bedside vigil support to transitioning patients
Secondary Responsibilities
Simple documentation of the visit, form provided, to be submitted to the Volunteer Coordinator

A successful applicant will show a positive attitude towards patient care and be comfortable around individuals on their grief journey. Training is provided.
