Social Media, Project Management & Administrative Support Volunteer
Description
Lhamen Foundation is seeking a motivated volunteer to help strengthen the operational and outward-facing backbone of our nonprofit. We're flexible on focus — whether your strengths lie in social media and content creation, project coordination, or administrative support, there's a meaningful way to contribute to spreading the Dharma and our work across healing, sacred knowledge, and contemplative practices. This is a part-time, short-term role with the possibility of transitioning into a longer-term position, and we're happy to shape the role around what you do best.
In return for your service, you'll get access to our teachings and retreats, both in person and online. You'll also be part of a new, quickly growing organization connecting people worldwide with teachings and practices that foster peace, compassion, and healing.
Key Responsibilities
Depending on your background and interests, you may take on some combination of the following:
Social Media & Content
- Create and schedule engaging content for Instagram and Facebook (posts, reels, stories)
- Design graphics using Canva or similar tools
- Develop and manage a social media content calendar
- Monitor engagement and support audience growth
- Assist with email marketing and mailing campaigns
Project Management & Administrative Support
- Help coordinate ongoing projects, timelines, and volunteer tasks
- Support scheduling and logistics for events, retreats, and meetings
- Maintain organized records, files, and communications
- Assist with basic research, correspondence, and follow-up tasks
- Help identify and streamline internal processes as we grow
We'll work with you to find the mix of responsibilities that best matches your skills and interests.
Ideal Qualifications
- A willingness to support and learn, regardless of professional or experiential background
- Familiarity with Vajrayana Buddhism is a plus, but not required
- Experience in one or more of: social media/content creation, project coordination, or administrative work
- Proactive, organized, and able to work independently
- Strong communication skills
- Open-minded, collaborative, and aligned with a nonprofit mission
Time Commitment
Flexible hours; estimated 5–15 hours per week (to be defined based on role focus). Remote-friendly, but ideally based in the Bay Area / East Bay Area.
This role is well-suited for someone looking to build experience, contribute to mission-driven work, and make a measurable impact — while helping shape a growing organization from the ground up.
