    Description

Vigil Volunteers Needed: No Person Should Die Alone

AccentCare Hospice & Palliative Care serves patients throughout the Greater Baltimore area and surrounding communities/counties, so you can volunteer near your home and work.

There are times when hospice patients spend the final weeks, days, and hours of their lives without family or friends nearby, and need a special supportive presence at the bedside. Vigil Volunteers add an extra layer of support, by being there for patients as they transition. Vigil Volunteers receive specialized training, in addition to the comprehensive training that all volunteers receive. By being a comforting and compassionate presence, vigil volunteers make a positive and powerful impact at the end of life for patients in our care.
