The Ruffian Foundation is a nonprofit cat sanctuary dedicated to providing lifelong care to rescued and special-needs cats. We are seeking a passionate and organized individual to help strengthen our fundraising efforts and expand our grant funding.

This is an opportunity to make a direct and lasting impact on a small but growing sanctuary where every dollar raised directly supports food, medical care, and safe housing for vulnerable cats.

Responsibilities:

• Research grant opportunities aligned with animal welfare and nonprofit operations
• Assist in drafting and submitting grant proposals
• Help develop a simple annual fundraising plan
• Support online fundraising campaigns (including Zeffy)
• Track grant deadlines and reporting requirements
• Identify new funding streams and donor prospects

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience with nonprofit fundraising or grant writing
• Strong writing and research skills
• Organized and deadline-driven
• Passionate about animal welfare
• Comfortable working independently in a small nonprofit setting
