    Description

    Program & Public Policy Internship

    Location: Remote

    Duration: 12-week training + 9-month apprenticeship

    Commitment: 6-15 hours per week (Training) + Apprenticeship

    About Us:

    Our Program & Public Policy Internship empowers students to make a real impact in underrepresented communities through program development and public policy. By focusing on racial justice, gender equality, criminal justice reform, and housing equity, this internship offers hands-on experience in shaping policies that drive social change.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Work with 501(c)(3) organizations, lobbying groups, and grassroots movements.
    • Assist in policy formation, agenda-setting, and program development.
    • Contribute to initiatives tackling mass incarceration, police brutality, and housing discrimination.
    • Receive mentorship from leaders in public policy, community organizing, and social justice.

    Program Overview:

    • 12-Week Remote Training: Gain foundational knowledge in public policy and program management (3-6 hours per week).
    • 9-Month Apprenticeship: Apply training in real-world settings, with guidance from experienced professionals.

    What We’re Looking For:

    • Strong interest in public policy, social justice, or community development
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Strong organizational, research, and project management abilities.

    We encourage applicants who understand the value of lived experience, particularly from incarcerated or formerly incarcerated individuals, and are committed to promoting criminal justice reform and economic equity.
