Duration: 12-week training + 9-month apprenticeship
Commitment: 6-15 hours per week (Training) + Apprenticeship
About Us:
Our Program & Public Policy Internship empowers students to make a real impact in underrepresented communities through program development and public policy. By focusing on racial justice, gender equality, criminal justice reform, and housing equity, this internship offers hands-on experience in shaping policies that drive social change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with 501(c)(3) organizations, lobbying groups, and grassroots movements.
- Assist in policy formation, agenda-setting, and program development.
- Contribute to initiatives tackling mass incarceration, police brutality, and housing discrimination.
- Receive mentorship from leaders in public policy, community organizing, and social justice.
Program Overview:
- 12-Week Remote Training: Gain foundational knowledge in public policy and program management (3-6 hours per week).
- 9-Month Apprenticeship: Apply training in real-world settings, with guidance from experienced professionals.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong interest in public policy, social justice, or community development
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational, research, and project management abilities.
