Description
Neighborhood Youth Association is a nonprofit organization that provides academic tutoring, leadership development and life skills to low-income and at-risk youth. We are based in Mar Vista, and serve students after school in Leimert Park/Crenshaw District and Inglewood.
As part of our program, we offer tutoring in any academic subject that our students need. We are very volunteer driven. We are looking for tutors in AP Biology.
Tutors generally work with individual or small groups of students (1-5) and do homework help or assist them with learning concepts. The time commitment is one hour a week for the school year.
Our program runs in the evening after school (4-7 pm) and we can work with volunteers' schedules.
