Azorna provides in-home & facility based medical care throughout the valley for people near end-of-life. Volunteers provide companionship visits and emotional support. This can involve talking, reading, playing music or simply sitting quietly with the patient. It's a way to help combat loneliness and provide comfort. Volunteers can read books, poems, or stories to patients who enjoy hearing narratives. This provides an engaging distraction and sense of comfort, especially for those who cannot read for themselves.
