Become a Foster Hero for a Rescue Dog (San Diego, CA Area)

Passion for Pitties Rescue is seeking compassionate, dog-loving individuals and families to join our Foster Call List for future rescue needs.

As a foster-based rescue, we rely on caring foster homes to help save dogs from overcrowded shelters. By maintaining a list of approved foster families, we can act quickly when a dog needs a safe and loving place to go.

As a foster, you provide the home and love—we provide everything else, including food, supplies, training support, and veterinary care.

Foster responsibilities include:

• Providing a safe, caring home for your foster dog
• Transporting your foster dog to adoption events when possible
• Helping promote your foster dog through photos, social media, and networking efforts
• Communicating with our team about your foster dog's progress

The approval process is simple and includes:

• Completing a foster application
• Reference and veterinary checks
• A home check

Once approved, you'll be added to our Foster Call List and contacted only when a foster need arises. There is no obligation to say yes every time—we understand that availability changes.

By opening your home temporarily, you can make a lifesaving difference for a dog in need and help them find their forever family.
