    Description

Gleaning the Pico Farmers Market in Santa Monica

Help feed people—not landfills—at the Santa Monica Farmers Market!

Join FoodCycle LA in rescuing fresh, high-quality produce that would otherwise go to waste. Even at farmers markets, tons of perfectly good food gets tossed, and we need all hands on deck to save it.

    As a volunteer gleaner, you’ll:

    • Collect donation boxes from participating vendors

    • Weigh the rescued produce

    • Prepare it for pickup by one of our partner agencies

It’s a simple, hands-on way to make a real impact on food insecurity and food waste in our community. Come out and help us ensure good food reaches the people who need it most!
