    Description

Hello Are you looking for a way to make deep strategic impact in the San Francisco API community? We’re excited to share that the Southeast Asian Development Center is recruiting new members for our Board of Directors, with terms beginning July 2026—and we’ve extended the application deadline to give more people time to apply and spread the word.

SEADC exists to support a healthy, thriving, and self-sufficient Southeast Asian American community. From youth development and mental health to economic opportunity and community safety, our work is grounded in lived experience and powered by collective leadership. Our board plays a critical role in helping guide that work.

We’re looking for thoughtful, committed leaders who want to contribute their skills, perspective and heart. This could include experience (professional or lived) in areas such as:

    • Fundraising and donor stewardship
    • Finance or legal oversight
    • Behavioral or mental health services
    • Marketing, communications, or advocacy
    • Philanthropy or foundation networks
    • Collaborative, process-oriented leadership

We strongly encourage applications from individuals with lived experience in immigrant and refugee communities, justice-impacted families, low-income or working-class backgrounds, LGBTQIA+ identities, and transitional-age youth (18–24). Representation, shared power, and community voice matter deeply to us.

Board service includes attending six evening board meetings per year, participating in committee work, and joining an annual all-day strategy retreat. Most importantly, it’s an opportunity to help steward an organization that directly serves hundreds of individuals and families across the Bay Area.

If you—or someone you know—might be interested, we’d love for you to learn more. Please share this opportunity widely, and consider applying or nominating someone who would be a great fit.

The application deadline has been extended to February 28. Full details and the application can be found here.
