    Meal Prep, Serving, and Clean-up

    Open Day volunteers prepare, serve, and clean up the meal when no pre-formed volunteer team is designated. Free Lunch Program is located at 1105 Gilbert Ct. in Iowa City, and we serve meals from noon-1pm, Monday through Saturday. We serve around 120 meals each day.

    Teams from different community groups organize the cooking and serving of most of our meals, and there are also slots for ad hoc volunteers from 10:30-1:30 or 11:30-1:30 on various days. Sign up to help in Dec/Jan/Feb here:
