    Our Mission

    At Melanin Minds Matter, we are on a mission to reimagine mental wellbeing for Black and Brown youth. We combine human connection with high-tech access to create brave spaces and bold solutions that put culture at the center.

    The Opportunity: Join Our Founding-Stage Board

    We are currently seeking visionary, high-capacity leaders to fill our Board. You will be entering at a "ground floor" level, helping to design the strategy, governance, and funding models that will sustain our growth for years to come.

    What We Are Looking For

    • Proactive leader: We are seeking someone who is ready to hit the ground running to recruit and build a sustainable board. Forward thinker, problem-solver, strong leadership skills
    • : A genuine commitment to the mental health and empowerment of Black and Brown girls.
    • Influence: Ability to leverage your professional network to open doors for funding and partnerships.
    • Action: We are in a "working board" phase. We need members who are willing to roll up their sleeves and build.
    • Time: A commitment of approximately 10-15 hours per month for meetings and committee work.
    • Geography: While we are based in Houston, TX and have a strong preference for local leaders, we welcome applicants nationwide who have the skills to move the needle.

    We are currently volunteer board however, we are looking to explore options to support compensation for the team
