Pass-the-Tree is a community outreach project created by March of the Blanketeers (MOTB). It is designed to spread kindness, build community connections, and thank local businesses that support our mission.

Works

1. Someone starts a new Pass-the-Tree chain with a one-time $1 donation.
2. They receive a Pass-the-Tree card featuring a QR code that links to the website of a sponsoring business.
3. They write their first name and location on the next available space on the front of the card.
4. They pass the same card to someone else.
5. Each new participant adds their first name and location, then passes the card on.
6. When the front of the card is full, the final participant mails it back to March of the Blanketeers.

Each completed card becomes a keepsake that represents a chain of kindness shared by many people.

Business Sponsorship

Businesses can sponsor a Pass-the-Tree chain with a $5 donation.

Each sponsoring business provides a link to its website, which is turned into the QR code printed on the Pass-the-Tree card. As the card is passed from person to person, participants can scan the QR code to learn more about the sponsoring business.

Sponsoring businesses are also recognized on the March of the Blanketeers website and, in the future, on the MOTB Community Mural.

Our Mission

Pass-the-Tree brings together individuals, businesses, and the community through one shared act of kindness. A single $1 donation starts the journey, each participant leaves their mark by signing the card, and local businesses receive recognition for helping make the project possible.
