    and it is finally here!

    Sign up to volunteer today

and help GROW this new instutition!

Built off the experience and success of the beloved Gary Brooks Black Power Community Garden, which produced:

    • 1,000 pounds of produce each year
    • for the past 6 years
    • for North St. Louis
    • and hosted hundreds of volunteers (like many of you)

Shamba La Uhuru Freedom Farm is the latest project of the Black Power Blueprint along the West Florissant Ave. corridor.

    Volunteer Workdays: 1st & 3rd Saturday of each month (none 7/4), 9 am - 12 noon!

Part of a 3-prong approach to end food apartheid

The Black Power Blueprint has developed this strategy to end the disparities the African community faces!

    1. Shamba La Uhuru Freedom Farm to produce the food
    2. One Africa! One Nation! Farmers Market to distribute quality food to our community and build economic development
    3. Uhuru Bakery & Cafe to provide delicious, quality food and be a community hub where neighbors can gather

    Volunteer Workdays: 1st & 3rd Saturdays 9 am - 12 noon
