    Description

Harvard in Tech (HIT) is looking for a Social Media Content Curator to help us spotlight stories of Harvard alumni in technology, science, and engineering. You’ll research, source, and develop content that keeps our channels fresh, engaging, and on-brand. Working closely with our Senior Social Media Manager, you’ll bring forward creative ideas and deliver polished posts ready for publishing.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Research alumni news, press releases, and features aligned with HIT’s mission.
    • Monitor industry trends and propose timely, creative content ideas.
    • Draft clear, engaging captions following HIT’s style and guidelines.
    • Verify accuracy of names, dates, and facts before submission.
    • Maintain a well-organized content library and updated calendar.
    • Use AI tools for brainstorming/light editing (not as the primary source).

    Performance Standards

    • Submit 5+ strong content ideas per week.
    • Provide error-free captions requiring minimal revisions.
    • Deliver well-organized sources and references.
    • Maintain a balanced content mix (alumni spotlights, industry news, events, educational posts).

    Qualifications

    • Degree or Diploma in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or related field (or equivalent experience).
    • 1–3 years’ experience in social media, digital marketing, or content creation.
    • Strong writing, editing, and research skills with attention to detail.
    • Familiarity with LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter/X, and Facebook.
    • Creative storyteller who can spot trends and pitch fresh ideas.
    • Organized, reliable, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines.
    • Experience with Canva/Adobe Express a plus; interest in tech, science, and innovation preferred.

    Why Join Us?

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven community, share inspiring stories of Harvard alumni, and sharpen your content and social media skills while working with a collaborative team.
