    Description

South Dallas opportunity to visit adult patients in their homes or facilities

Visiting elderly patient in a private home for companionship and caregiver relief. Patient is a little confused and sleeps during the day time, believing it is out of boredom. Patient does get tired easily, so 30 minutes to an hour visit once a week would be good.

Must be able to drive your self to assigned location, which is different from above, but zip code is accurate.

We offer patients a volunteer that can read to patients, visit, organize photos, talk about life review, make a puzzle, play a game, watch TV with them, many possibilities are there to be explored.

We provide a PPE kit for you to take with you including some masks and gloves. The patient, family and yourself should feel safe at 2ll times.

How to Volunteer for This Opportunity

    Send Email

Would like to meet for coffee once you have completed the application, then you will be sent to Orientation, to do at home, on your computer or I can provide paper copy. Then a TB test will need to be taken, drug screening, and background check. We will meet up again to finalize training and Orientation. Once that is completed, we will make an appointment with the patient and schedule a time to go meet them. I will accompany you on the first visit, we can talk and begin to build a relationship if you are not comfortable with the visit, we can seek another opportunity.
