Hospice Volunteer – Providing Comfort, Companionship & Support

Description:

Enhabit Hospice is seeking compassionate and caring volunteers to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families during the hospice journey.

Hospice volunteers provide companionship, emotional support, and a comforting presence for patients receiving hospice care. Volunteers may spend time visiting with patients, talking, reading, listening to music, playing games, or simply offering a friendly presence. Volunteers can also provide supportive visits that give family caregivers a short break when appropriate.

Volunteer Responsibilities May Include:

• Providing companionship and friendly visits to hospice patients.
• Reading, listening to music, sharing conversation, or engaging in other enjoyable activities.
• Offering emotional support and a compassionate, reassuring presence.
• Supporting family members through kindness and understanding.
• Helping patients feel valued, respected, and less alone.

Who We’re Looking For:

We welcome individuals who are compassionate, dependable, patient, and willing to make a difference in the lives of others. No medical experience is required. Training and guidance will be provided.
