Description
The Director of Administration & Communications oversees administrative operations, internal communications, organizational records, and external messaging for S.O.A.R. Outreach. This position ensures efficient administrative support while maintaining professional communication with stakeholders, volunteers, partners, and the community. This position works directly with the CEO/Founder to ensure organizational goals are achieved through effective planning, coordination, and execution.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Management
- Oversee administrative processes and organizational systems.
- Maintain organizational records, files, and documentation.
- Support meeting scheduling, agendas, and follow-up activities.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Communications & Marketing
- Manage organizational communication strategies.
- Draft newsletters, announcements, and stakeholder communications.
- Oversee social media content and outreach campaigns.
- Maintain consistency in organizational branding and messaging.
Board & Leadership Support
- Prepare reports and meeting materials.
- Assist with board communications and documentation.
- Coordinate leadership correspondence and scheduling needs.
Data & Reporting
- Maintain accurate databases and contact lists.
- Track communication metrics and engagement data.
- Prepare administrative and communication reports for leadership review.
Qualifications:
- Current college student in North Carolina
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with social media management, marketing, or administration preferred.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, and communication platforms.
- Prior management/supervisor experience
Preferred:
- College Students Majoring in Nonprofit Management/Leadership, Business Administration, Management, Organizational Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Public Administration, Human Services, Community Development
- Able to commit for 2-3 years
Compensation:
- Possibly a yearly stipend
