    Hospice Pet Therapy Volunteer

    Pet Therapy Volunteer

Share Comfort. Spread Joy. Heal with a Wag or a Purr.

A gentle nudge of a nose. A steady heartbeat. A tail that never stops wagging.

For patients facing serious illness, the presence of therapy pet can change everything.

As a Pet Therapy Volunteer, you and your certified therapy animal bring comfort, connection, and moments of joy to hospice patients and their families. Your visits offer emotional relief, reduce anxiety, and create meaningful moments during some of life’s most challenging times.

    What You’ll Do

      • Visit hospice patients and their families with your certified therapy pet
      • Provide comfort, companionship, and emotional support through animal interaction
      • Create calming, joyful moments that ease stress and lift spirits
      • Support patients and families by offering connection beyond clinical care

    Why Your Role Matters

      • Animals provide unconditional comfort when words fall short
      • Patients often experience reduced anxiety, loneliness, and fear
      • Families treasure these moments of peace and normalcy

    What We Provide

      • Orientation, guidance, and ongoing volunteer support
      • Flexible scheduling that works with your availability
      • A rewarding experience for both you and your pet

    Who We’re Looking For

      • Compassionate individuals with a certified therapy dog or cat
      • Calm, well-mannered animals who enjoy gentle interaction
      • Volunteers who value empathy, professionalism, and reliability

    Take the First Step

If you and your pet are ready to make a meaningful difference, we invite you to join our Pet Therapy Volunteer team. Together, you can offer comfort, joy, and connection when it’s needed most.
