    Board Member Recruitment

    Board Membership

I'm Bruised But Not Broken, LLC aka IBBNB is looking for experienced leaders in business, government, philanthropy or nonprofits to serve as board members. Specifically, we need savvy individuals with expertise in areas such as fundraising; social or public policy; strategic planning; marketing, including public relations and social media; attorneys; and human resources professionals. Experienced candidates who have served on high performing boards would be especially helpful as we position IBBNB for long-term sustainability and future growth. A passion for addressing the needs of victims and survivors of domestic violence in our community is a must. IBBNB values diversity, and is looking for board members who represent the many diverse populations within the District of Columbia and Maryland. Board members will be the voice and champion of I'm Bruised But Not Broken, Inc. in their community and will solicit donations on behalf of the organization.

Board members meet at least four times a year and IBBNB is a working board, with members actively serving on one or more committees. Board members are expected to make minimum personal annual financial contribution of $1,000 before the end of the fiscal year and no later than the August 31st. Board members will support the agency through a variety of fundraising and advocacy programs during the entire calendar year.

Interested candidates should send a letter indicating their interest and qualifications, along with a resume or biographical statement via email to our CEO, Alicia Stukes, at astukes@imbruisedbutnotbroken.com
