Role Overview
We are seeking a versatile UX/UI & Social Media Volunteer to bridge the gap between functional design and digital storytelling. In this dual-impact role, you will help refine our digital product interfaces while crafting compelling visual narratives for our social media platforms. Your goal is to ensure that every touchpoint—from our web platforms to our Instagram grid—is intuitive, accessible, and mission-driven.
Key Responsibilities
UX/UI Design
- Collaborate with product teams to create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile interfaces.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to identify friction points and improve navigation.
- Maintain a consistent design system to ensure brand harmony across different digital initiatives.
Social Media & Visual Content
- Design engaging visual assets (graphics, carousels, and short-form video) for platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter.
- Translate complex social impact data into easy-to-digest infographics.
- Develop a cohesive aesthetic for social campaigns that aligns with our organizational identity.
Qualifications
- Design Toolkit: Proficiency in CSS, HTML, react JS, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator/Photoshop), or Canva.
- Analytical Mindset: An understanding of user-centered design principles and how they apply to both web layouts and social engagement.
- Communication: Ability to distill complex ideas into simple, crisp, and compelling visual messages.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative volunteer environment.
