    Description

    In-Kind Donations Coordinator

    We are seeking a detail-oriented volunteer to help manage and document in-kind donations. This behind-the-scenes role plays an important part in ensuring donated items are properly recorded and acknowledged, allowing us to accurately track the generosity of our supporters and steward donor relationships.

    This position is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, data entry, and administrative tasks and would like to make a meaningful impact in a few hours each month.

    Responsibilities

      • Sort and review donated items received by Extra-Ordinary Birthdays.
      • Determine and record the fair market value of donated items.
      • Enter donation information into a spreadsheet or directly into our donor database.
      • Maintain accurate records for reporting and stewardship purposes.
      • Prepare and send thank-you letters to donors.
      • Communicate with staff as needed regarding donations and documentation.
      • Breakdown and disposal of boxes.

    Qualifications

      • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
      • Comfortable using spreadsheets and basic computer programs.
      • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
      • Previous administrative, inventory, or nonprofit experience is helpful but not required.
      • Passion for supporting children experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.

    Time Commitment

      • 2–4 hours on-site on Wednesdays.
      • Volunteers may serve monthly, every other month, or every few months based on their availability.
      • Flexible scheduling and training provided.
