Are you looking for a meaningful way to connect with your community and make a real difference? Our kitchen provides vital meals, and we're looking for friendly, dedicated volunteers to help ensure our operations run smoothly. Your experience and willingness to help are exactly what we need!
What You'll Be Doing (A True Help!):
- Preparing for Service: After an initial handwashing, you'll jump in to assist our team with simple food preparation tasks.
- Keeping Things Clean: You'll be key in cleaning and sanitizing prep areas, equipment, and dishes used for both food prep and the lunch service. A clean kitchen is a safe kitchen!
- Support and Camaraderie: You'll work alongside our staff and other volunteers in a supportive, warm environment.
Shifts & Time Commitment:
We are looking for help Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. We understand life happens—let us know if you are interested in a specific day or a shorter commitment within this timeframe!
What We Ask:
- Ability to Stand: This role requires you to be on your feet and walking for periods of time during the shift.
- No Experience Needed! We provide complete, hands-on training with our Kitchen Manager or a seasoned volunteer to ensure you feel confident and ready.
- Minimum Age: Volunteers must be 16 or older.
Simple Dress Code for Safety & Comfort:
- Comfort is Key: Wear comfortable T-shirts, jeans (no major holes), or knee-length shorts that you don't mind getting dirty.
- Safety First: Please wear closed-toed shoes.
- Kitchen Guidelines: For hygiene, long hair needs to be secured (ponytail/bun), and a hairnet or hat must be worn in the kitchen. Please avoid wearing perfume or cologne while working in the kitchen.
Ready to lend a helping hand and join our wonderful community? Your effort ensures those who depend on us receive the nourishment they need.
We’d love to welcome you to our team!
