    Time Commitment: One‑day events between April–December 2026

    Number of Volunteers Needed: 2 per event

    Schedule: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (split shifts available)

    About Read 4 Unity

    Read 4 Unity is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to bring culturally diverse K–5 books to children living in book desert communities across the Metro Atlanta area.

    Since our inception in 2020, we have donated over 20,000 new books to schools, community centers, and site partners across Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, and Washington, DC.

    Volunteer Role: Book Fair Event Volunteer

    We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable volunteers to support Read 4 Unity book fairs at holiday markets and community events throughout Metro Atlanta.

    What you’ll do:

    • Help set up and staff Read 4 Unity book fair tables
    • Assist with book sales and engage with community members
    • Share our mission and impact with event attendees
    • Support inventory management and event wrap‑up

    How it works:

    For every book purchased, Read 4 Unity donates one book to our beneficiary partner, Jolly Elementary School in Clarkston, helping stock their FREE book vending machine for students.

    Volunteer Benefits

    Who Should Apply

    • Passionate about literacy, education, and community impact

    • Dependable and able to stand for portions of the event day
    • Available for at least one event between April–December 2026
