Donation Center Volunteer

Join us as a Donation Center Volunteer to assist the heart of Working Wardrobes. There are two primary roles that our volunteers at our Irvine Donation Center typically assume while helping here: Donor Engagement & Quality Control.

Donor Engagement

Role includes accepting clothes and accessories from donors at the front of the warehouse, checking in donors, and sorting clothes. This role does interact with the public.

Quality Control

Role includes inspecting clothing and accessories to ensure they meet our quality control standards; ensuring clothes are on the appropriate hangers; categorizing items for distribution.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to push/pull/lift/carry up to 10lbs.
• Must be able to twist/bend at the waist level.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time with occasional breaks.
• We welcome minors, 14 years and older, with a supervising adult and 16 years or older individually with legal guardian consent.

Know Before You Go! What to Bring/Wear:

• Closed-toed & comfortable shoes required
• Weather-appropriate layers (indoor/outdoor work)
• Water & snacks (refrigerator/microwave available)
