    Description

Share Your Love of Music as a Hospice Volunteer - Eau Claire

    Do you love music?

Consider sharing your love of music with our hospice patients. Whether you are someone who listens to music or makes music, your interest is shared by many of our hospice patients.

Music is especially powerful when used with people living with dementia.

Whether it is a cheerful sing-along, a mellow hymn, or anything in-between, the goal is to enhance the quality of life of our patients. Volunteer musicians may provide music individually to a single patient or to a group in a facility setting if desired. You do not have to be a professional musician to serve. You also do not need hospice experience.

Our hospice volunteers are non-medical companions who want to share some of their free time with others who may not receive regular visitors.

    Our commitment to you:

    • a flexible schedule at a location that is convenient for you,
    • consistent and accessible staff support from our hospice team,
    • ongoing guidance and education to ensure that you are comfortable with each assignment.

If you have questions about the Lily Hospice Musician/Music Volunteer opportunities, contact Laura Cunningham, Volunteer Coordinator at 715-492-2663 or lcunningham@lilyhealthcare.org .
