Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Minneapolis (JFCS) is looking for volunteer drivers to deliver meals over their lunch hour to seniors and individuals with disabilities in their community. If you are looking for a way to become more connected to your community and have meaningful interactions with the people in it, please sign up to become a meal delivery volunteer!
This is a special volunteer role that involves picking up meals from JFCS in Golden Valley and delivering to a meal recipient in Maple Grove.
How can you help: Volunteers drivers deliver much more than a nutritious meal - they bring a smile and kind words, relieve isolation, and provide peace of mind for meal recipients and their care givers.
Qualifications: Volunteer one hour over your lunch time during the weekdays on a schedule that works for you. You must have your own transportation and license.
*Delivering meals can fit into a work lunch break. It is also a great family-friendly volunteer opportunity so plan to bring your kids or grandkids!
