    About Wevise

    Wevise is a nonprofit founded in 2022. Our mission is to make careers in the technology industry more attainable and build a more diverse and inclusive tech community through equitable access to mentorship, education, and career opportunities. We’re a team of volunteers from diverse backgrounds who are committed to leveling the playing field in tech (and beyond).

    In June 2023, we launched our inaugural program - a mentorship platform crafted for individuals seeking personal or professional mentorship, particularly those from economically marginalized backgrounds or facing unique challenges. We launched our second program, the TechPath Alliance, in Chicago in 2025.

    Position Summary

    In working towards helping Wevise meet its overall objective of providing opportunities in tech for Mentors and Mentees, the Grants Manager is responsible for a full range of activities related to researching, preparing, submitting and managing grants along with acknowledgement and reporting.

    The Grants Manager will work with the Development team and the Programs

    team to implement and strengthen fundraising. The Grants Manager will also seek out new funding opportunities and cultivate partnerships/relationships with grantors and donors as workload allows.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Research and identify relevant public and private grant opportunities
    • Serve as main contact to grant-making organizations during the grant process for assigned portfolio with support from the Grants Director
    • Write clear, persuasive, and well-structured grant proposals and reports
    • Collaborate with leadership to align proposals with organizational priorities
    • Collect and maintain up-to-date research on potential grant-making organizations and grant/contract opportunities, eligibility criteria and deadlines
    • Manage submission timelines and ensure compliance with grant requirements
    • Track outcomes and maintain accurate grant documentation
    • Monitor awarded grants to ensure compliance as well as programmatic, evaluation,

    budgetary and reporting requirements

    • Manage grant prospecting by actively seeking new sources of private, corporate, and

    government support as workload allows

    • Ensure acknowledgment of funders via website, e-newsletter, and social media
    • Assist in developing presentations for various stakeholders
