    Description

    The Facebook Content Creator serves as a community builder and information hub for Transition Trails. In this role, you will focus on creating a sense of belonging and keeping our community informed through long-form storytelling, event promotion, and interactive discussions. You will manage the organization’s Facebook Page and any associated Groups to ensure our mission stays top of mind for our local and global supporters.

    Responsibilities

    Content Development: Draft and schedule 3–4 updates per week, including mission-driven stories, volunteer spotlights, and news links.

    Community Engagement: Moderate discussions, reply to comments, and manage "Likes/Shares" to increase the page's organic reach.

    Group Management: If applicable, facilitate conversation within the Transition Trails community group to encourage peer-to-peer support.

    Event Promotion: Create and manage Facebook Events for upcoming fundraisers, workshops, or volunteer orientations.

    Performance Monitoring: Use Facebook Insights to identify which types of content generate the most meaningful engagement

    Qualifications

    Writing Skills: Ability to write in a warm, professional, and engaging "Strong writer/editor/proofreader" capacity.

    Platform Knowledge: Proficiency with Facebook’s business tools, including Events, Groups, and scheduling software.

    Marketing Mindset: Basic understanding of "Social Media Platform Management" and how to drive "Digital outreach and engagement."

    Independence: A "Can work independently" attitude with the ability to "Produce high-quality, error-free work" under minimal supervision.
