    Board of Directors

    About Global Paint for Charity

For more than 15 years, Global Paint for Charity (GPC) has demonstrated that environmental sustainability and human dignity can advance together. Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, GPC is a top-rated 501(c)(3) nonprofit recognized by Charity Navigator and Candid/GuideStar for excellence in transparency, accountability, and social impact.

What began as a modest effort to collect 500 gallons of paint to renovate schools and orphanages in the Caribbean and Africa quickly revealed the scale of a hidden global problem—and an even greater opportunity. The response from communities, partners, volunteers, and the media was overwhelming. That momentum carried us forward.

    To date, GPC has:

    • Recovered and redistributed more than 5 million gallons of surplus paint
    • Diverted approximately 370,000 tons of paint waste from landfills
    • Served communities in 44 countries
    • Improved the lives of more than 15 million people worldwide

This paint has restored and revitalized:

    • Over 120,500 family homes
    • More than 8,200 schools
    • 535 orphanages
    • 1,240 churches, shelters, and community centers

Global Paint for Charity remains a one-of-a-kind organization, bringing color, dignity, and encouragement to people’s lives while protecting the environment from hazardous waste.

Our Momentum and Why Leadership Matters Now

Last year alone, GPC shipped hundreds of thousands of five-gallon buckets of paint, valued at more than $2 million, to communities in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica, Honduras, Belize, Guyana, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and beyond.

In many of these regions, families live on one dollar a day or less. In the U.S., a single gallon of paint costs $38 to $50, more than a month—or a year—of income for households in poorer economies, informal slums, and refugee camps. Because of GPC’s work:

    • Schools and classrooms were painted and reopened
    • Women’s clinics and community centers were restored
    • Homes became safer, healthier, and more dignified

Last year, 48 volunteers and interns formally joined our organization, supported by more than 300 additional volunteers at paint drives across the U.S. Together, they diverted paint from landfills, supported local artists and muralists in Wynwood (Miami), led home beautification in Tampa, created murals in Atlanta and Chicago, and delivered hope and color across Africa and the Caribbean.

We are also partnering with city mayors and local governments to design and launch zero-paint-waste programs that create jobs, generate local revenue, and improve neighborhoods. As the FIFA World Cup approaches across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada, cities are requesting paint to celebrate national pride and unity. Demand is accelerating faster than our current inventory.

This is the inflection point. Strong governance, strategic leadership, and experienced advisors are essential to scaling responsibly.

Recognized for Doing What Is Right

Our work has earned trust and recognition from respected institutions:

    • Georgia Chamber of Commerce Membership (Fiserv Small Business Program)
    • Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce Membership
    • Atlanta Startup for Good Finalist
    • Named One of Georgia’s 50 Most Influential Latinos of 2025
    • Charity Navigator 4-Star Rating for 10 consecutive years (Top 2 percent nationally)
    • GuideStar Platinum Seal of Transparency

In 2025, GPC completed the ICIC Manufacturing Accelerator Program, learning from leaders affiliated with MIT, Harvard University, and Georgia Institute of Technology, strengthening our operational discipline and positioning us for responsible growth within the circular economy.

Workforce Development, Education, and Second Chances

GPC’s model is deeply rooted in workforce development and education. Through our Juvenile Community Service and Restitution Program, judges and schools across multiple states have referred young people and adults to volunteer at our donation centers and warehouses. Under staff supervision, participants gain skills, structure, and purpose. To date, they have completed over 25,000 hours of community service.

Our success is also driven by university partnerships. Interns from the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University, Emory University, University of Georgia, and University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) have played a critical role in logistics, sustainability research, policy analysis, and social entrepreneurship—allowing GPC to maintain low operational costs while expanding global impact.
