    Description

Volunteer Executive Assistant to the Founder

    Mission-driven nonprofit | High-impact role | Flexible schedule

We’re looking for a highly capable volunteer Executive Assistant to work closely with the Founder of a growing nonprofit entering its next chapter of expansion and visibility.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, communicates clearly and professionally, and enjoys being a trusted right hand in both strategic and day-to-day operations. You’re organized, grounded, dependable under pressure, and comfortable helping keep priorities aligned while supporting a strong leadership vision.

The right person is naturally proactive, confident without ego, and able to balance discretion, diplomacy, and follow-through. You can take direction well, adapt quickly when plans shift, and aren’t afraid to speak up when needed. You value structure, accountability, and meaningful work that creates real impact.

    What You’ll Help With

    • Calendar and schedule coordination
    • Managing priorities and keeping projects moving
    • Communication support and follow-up
    • Meeting preparation and organization
    • Helping create operational flow and consistency
    • Occasional event, outreach, or administrative support
    • Stepping into different roles as needed and wearing many hats in support of the mission
    • Serving as a steady, reliable person to the Founder

You’d Be a Great Fit If You Are

    • Exceptionally organized with strong time management
    • Professional in communication and presentation
    • Comfortable working closely with leadership
    • Flexible and responsive with scheduling needs
    • Adaptable and resourceful in a growing environment
    • Calm, solutions-oriented, and emotionally intelligent
    • Able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
    • Self-directed while still highly coachable
    • Passionate about helping a nonprofit grow and expand its reach
    • Looking for purposeful involvement beyond a traditional job search

    Preferred Qualities

    • Strong written and verbal English communication
    • Confident managing details, deadlines, and moving parts
    • Comfortable in a support role that requires initiative and trust
    • Able to pivot easily between administrative, operational, and people-focused tasks
    • Available for consistent collaboration and communication
    • Interested in building something meaningful alongside a dedicated founder

This is a volunteer position with significant opportunity to make a lasting impact. We’re seeking someone who genuinely believes in mission-driven work and wants to help take a nonprofit to the next level through dedication, consistency, and partnership.
