    Description

Carpe Librum is a used bookstore benefiting Turning the Page, an education nonprofit dedicated to developing literacy programs for elementary and middle school students in Wards 1, 7, and 8. We will be popping up NoMa's Meander for a fundraising book sale on Tuesday, June 30. We will need volunteers to help us set up in the morning and box up in the afternoon. This is a great opportunity to spend an hour or two supporting literacy and positive educational outcomes in the DC public school students.

    Can you lend a hand?

The first shift is from 10 am-11:30 am, helping to set up tables and shelve books by genre.

The second shift is from 4:30 pm-6:00 pm, helping to pack up books.

If interested, sign up, and we will reach out with more details. Thank you!

(By the way, we’re not just any bookstore: we’re a fundraising bookstore! Carpe Librum collects donated books, CDs, and DVDs to support the DC nonprofit Turning the Page.)
